  2. After you have completed an "Introduction to Coaching" course, you can move forward by completing one of the  "Coaching Change" coaching courses listed on the "Next Steps" page.  
    *Required before continuing with "Specialized Courses."


In this class you'll learn how coaching is distinct from other ways of helping. You will learn the skills of a coach, basic coaching models, and how to conduct a powerful coaching conversation. This class is not just about knowledge. It's also about growing your skills. You'll have opportunities to practice as well as receive growth-oriented feedback.

Earn 16 ACSTH accredited ICF-approved coach-specific training hours, delivered online with Zoom: 8 weeks of sessions, 2 hours in each online session. Learn coaching foundations using the D.R.E.A.M. model for repeatable coaching processes: Develop relationship, Responsive listening, Explore possibilities, Action steps, Measure progress. Training model is Teach - Demonstrate - Do - Review with class and trainer interaction. Practice coaching dyads or triads in class with feedback and one final recorded coaching dyad with written assessment by PCC Certified Coach.  Receive performance evaluations according to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Standards. Learn how to apply the ICF Code of Ethics and 11 ICF Core Competencies into coaching.

This 6 week online course will introduce you to the basics of coaching and it's definition. Learn the distinctions between coaching and other similar helping professions. This course will provide an overview of the necessary skills to become an effective coach. Students will spend time developing their coaching skills. (Each session is 90mins in length and delivered via Zoom Video Conferencing. Login info sent out by e-mail on day of class.)
